With strong expertise in business development, project management, and entrepreneurship, he provides strategic guidance, operational support, and mentorship to early-stage ventures. His work spans startup incorporation, grant application facilitation, and navigating regulatory frameworks such as SISFS, enabling innovators to translate ideas into scalable and sustainable businesses.
Dr Komal Rana
Technical Manager
Dr. Komal Rana serves as the Technical Manager at the Manipal–GoK Bioincubator and holds a Ph.D. in Biophysics. With experience across incubation management, academic teaching, and ICMR JRF research, she brings deep technical and regulatory expertise to the startup ecosystem. Her core strengths include project management, regulatory compliance, grant writing, ISO standards, cell culture techniques, nanobiotechnology, and drug delivery systems, supporting startups from concept to execution.
Dr. Clavian Miranda
BioNEST Manager
Dr. Clavian Larry Miranda is the BioNEST Manager at the Manipal–GoK Bioincubator, where he supports startups in health, life sciences, and deep-tech domains. Holding a Ph.D. in Experimental Physics, with specialization in nonlinear optics and material characterization, he combines strong analytical insight with innovation management. His leadership focuses on mentoring startups, driving research translation, and enabling collaborative technology development.
Mr Dheeraj Poojary
BioNEST Technical Manager
Mr. Dheeraj Poojary is the Technical Manager – BioNEST, with an M.Tech in Machine Design and currently pursuing a Ph.D. He brings over seven years of experience in advanced product development, specializing in CAD design, simulation, rapid prototyping, and manufacturing. He leads BioNEST’s technical operations, enabling startups with engineering support, fabrication expertise, and end-to-end product development capabilities.
Mrs Akshatha Shetty
Admin Associate
Akshatha Shetty is the Admin Associate at the Manipal–GoK Bioincubator and a former Associate Professor with a postgraduate degree in Microbiology. She manages core administrative and operational functions, including facility and vendor management, documentation, inventory oversight, and event coordination. She also serves as the Coordinator for the Student Entrepreneurship Cell (SEC) and Global Technology Solutions (GTS), contributing strong communication, presentation, and promotional expertise alongside her technical background in life sciences.

Mr. Sudeep Shetty serves as the Accountant at the Manipal–GoK Bioincubator, overseeing financial operations and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. He supports resident startups with bookkeeping, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance, playing a critical role in maintaining financial transparency and operational efficiency across the incubator.
